In order to avoid drama, I highly recomend we remove JJ of his position sometime before the meeting. If not, I plan on raising the proposition during the meeting itself.

Should I bring print outs of the designs for the meeting, that way if people do not use the forums they will be able to see them then.

Yes, bring them and give them to me, Felix or Tallgeese and we will bring it up.

It will be discussed at the meeting.

You'll complain about anything I post, so I'll save both of our time.

Yep that's me. All I do is complain about everything...

...except things that are actually thought out, make sense, and wouldn't get the club execs thrown in jail. For example, the last 3 club presidents could be charged with misdemeanors (class 2 to be exact) for how they ran the raffles.

Sometimes when people think your idea is bad it's not because they're an asshole or don't like you, sometimes it really is a bad idea. Depending on how you approach an MTG tournament it could be considered gambling on state property which nets the entire exec staff (and you) misdemeanor charges, expulsion from WCU, and gets the gaming club banned from operating in the state of NC.

So yeah, want to run your proposal by us? Please...

Chill. It's under control.

Define "us" in the last sentence, because several executives have already heard the main gist of it.

"Us" as in people who've seen other organizations get in trouble over this type of thing at WCU before. Pretty sure none of the current execs were paying attention when the honors college got raped a few years back for this sort of thing but hey that's being presumptious

If I remember correctly I wasn't even negative the last time you posted about MTG, why is it such a problem now? Unless it breaks club or university rules...

Just make it clear that the WCU Gaming club does NOT endorse it and let this dipshit get himself expelled. Win win IMO.

That's the problem though, the gaming club WILL endorse it without any idea what the laws are. Video and board games are one thing but the instant you start playing with cards, of any type, you're venturing into a heavily regulated world riddled with legal landmines.

The kicker isn't what we're doing, it's the fact we're a non-profit organization doing it on state property. The laws we have to abide by are much stricter than those regulating a normal, for-profit business operating on private property.

I'm not holding this by myself, I'm suggesting to hold it as a club sponsored activity. Go back and read the damn thread.

I know things have changed since I left (obviously for the worst) but last I checked the club didn't sponsor anything illegal. Kuros owning Q3A so hardcore should have been illegal but wasn't.

Here we are trying to keep you guys from getting in trouble and all you can do is troll us on it.

Tell you what, if you want to keep this such a big secret go right ahead. We're going to find out Thursday anyway. After the meeting I'm not going to complain about it, I'm not going to tell you what's wrong, I'll just let you get boned by UPD.
