Topics I've Started

Next Meeting

23 March 2012 - 02:09 AM

Next Meeting: March 29th, 2012 @ 8pm Catamount Room

We are going to discuss the next LAN. Its going to be vastly different than how we have done previous LANS, but I believe it will be a great way to bring back focus to this organization.

Future of the Club

24 January 2012 - 06:51 AM

Sure everyone who is going to read this already knows but just be sure my name is Joseph DeLong aka Thor, and I will be the clubs president for the next year. That being said I would like to know if anyone has any ideas they wanna try this year ect ect.

My main goal for the next year is to create relationships with other organizations on campus. Such as working with LMP and the UC for the stay at Western Weekends or getting the big screen on the UC lawn for a Fight Night.

Also I would like to do alot more PR work on campus. Just from listening to people around campus they know there is a Gaming Club but not entirely what we do or how to get information. To accomplish this I would like to start advertising the mini-lans on campus. They are a great stress-free way for students to connect off campus and Ive always believed face to face interation to be the best for of communication.

Following the same line as PR work I belive we need more medians of advertisement besides the flyers. Some ideas that come to mind are get a slide in the previews to the on campus movies, get papa johns to put something on the pizza boxes, have something on TV62 and attend open-houses. Any more ideas would be both valued and welcome.

Mainly, i just wanna have a good year and increase student awareness of the club. Also if anyone feel im laxing in my responsibilities I welcome you to smack me on the back of the head and tell me to stop fucking around.

Marketing Ideas

18 April 2011 - 11:32 AM

So I'm sitting here in my room reading fanfic and i hear something slide under my door. Normally its a papa's pizza flier, but this time it was from tree house apartments. This raised the question are we able to do the same? I'm sure we would need the RDs' permission but what better way to make sure someone actually sees the flier than to slide a small informational one under their door.
