Fallout 3

Recommended Posts

It's awesome. I just got finished running around helping Arefor and the Family while killing some Super Muties and working with Big Town.

Now I'm back on the main questline again and heading into the city itself.

One thing though...the vampire thing...neccesary? It just feels like Oblivion again with that tossed in.

I never did the family thing, i just found my Dad though :) plus I have the Fatman, RL, Sniper Rifle, and other fun stuff like the Power Fist (melee weapon that makes people explode :))

Not bad. I just got my Fatman a little while ago. Now I'm busy getting lost in the city trying to find the Museum of Technology.

I spent nearly 30 minutes mashing the quicksave button and running around with only 15 health and fighting Talon Mercenaries and Super Mutants with mini guns. Fun times that was!

I always use either mines or grenades on the super mutants, plus I hit a save and tried out God mode for a little bit. It is a lot of fun for just wanton destruction, It gives you infinite AP, Health, Ammo, and no Radiation. now I have to escort my dad all the way back to Rivet City, Oh joy...

Supermutants are easy unless they have that helmet on. The ones without helmets = dead with 4 VATS shots to the head with my laser pistol.

The 'vampire' thing is interesting because

they aren't really vampires... They are simply cannibals who have figure out that they don't have to eat flesh to satisfy their hunger.

I think it fits the post apocalyptic scenario quite well.

Had a fun quest with the Brotherhood of Steele that was halted early due to a supermutant making the quest givers head explode :(.

The second chapter of that book the girl is trying to write has one quest

where you put a sensor in an egg... Yeah.. that was HARD because I did it without killing any of the crab people x_X.

Wow, I've been paying too much attention to the main storyline...

anyway I'm also already on the evil side for blowing up Megaton (so sue me :P) which means that every now and then, after exiting a building, there will be 3 bounty hunters waiting to kill me which adds a little more variety. Also, My lockpicking is 100, beat that!

Mines only around 50 at the moment.

I'm walking along the coast line to Rivet City now to find my Dad since I want to avoid the inside of the city, but I'm not sure it's any safer. So far I havent had much in the way of side quests since I finished off all the Arefu, Family, and most of the Megaton side quests (including defusing the bomb. I'ma good guy!).

it's not bad, just be careful of the super mutants, their level is actually around yours and it locks at that level. so if you come back later they'll be the same level. also, lvl 13 here

Oh no. I made the deal with Arefu. Blood packs in exchange for being left alone. I didnt want to push it with asking for protection too.

I meant I finished off all of those questlines!

I'm on my way to Vault 112 now. Had to deal with the Raider's and their captured Berserker super mutie last night in the camp near the vault. *edited*s, didnt realize I could go around them to the vault.

Ah, I had them protect the camp in exchange. Seemed like a fair deal to me.

I killed a super mutie with the brotherhood, that was easy. I've been running around finding side quests everywhere... Still haven't gotten the dog his new satellite dish.

Oh yeah. I plugged up to that thing and had no clue what was happening. I enjoyed that one quite a bit.

I just shacked up in the Citadel last night before I got too tired to keep playing. I'm hoping to find some extra power armor laying around now that I can finally use it.

Also, I desperately need more caps. I'm tired of not being able to afford things like mini-nukes.

Pretty BIG SPOILER here about the main storyline, btw. So tread lightly. I know I'd be annoyed if I read it before it happened.

WARNING! Seriously.

Also,

DAD DIED! : ( I didnt think he would. And he totally pulled a Spock. As soon as he put his hand on the door, I said to my self, "You are, and always will be, my friend."

Whenever you get to the Citadel you'll need to ask permission to be trained like the guys at the GNR said. Once you do that you just need to talk to the guy who does the training and you can start using it.

Well, I did warn you! Sorry for spoiling it though. I'll make the warning more...clear.

At the moment I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I have the side quest at the Tenpenney towers (if you've been there) and both sides are pretty morally dubious so I'm trying to decide how I should handle it.

well i blew up megaton... then i killed tenpenny for his sniper rifle (aren't i a sneaky *edited*?)

anyway, the choice is up to you.

also a warning:

if you encounter vault 112 before going to the radio station, for the love of god do not enter, it will skip a major portion of the game

just in case any of you arent that far yet

I killed Tenpenny too. It gave me positive karma when I did it. Bigoted *edited* anyway. I never actually finished the quest though. I ended up getting hooked into the story again and just finished it.

Spoiler:

I sacrificed myself to activate the purifier and bring clean water to the Wasteland. I'm assuming if I dont die you can keep playing like in Oblivion? If not that's kind of lame if the game doesnt let you continue after the story. Still, I liked my ending.

Now to play again and be an evil *edited*...

LAAAAAAAAAAME. I'm glad I saved before the end.

And yeah, the Plasma Rifle is my favorite weapon. I just visited Vault 106 last night for fun, and man some weird *edited* goes on there.

it's even better for me, considering I have 100% Energy Weapon skill and i get a 95% chance on all shots in VATS, save for the ones at extreme range
