The more we plan this thing, the better it will turn out. Here are the rules so far:

-Acceptable costumes include characters from tournament games and representations of the contestants' usernames.

-No indecent exposure.

-You cannot change your username for the sake of a costume.

-Anyone can participate.

If I got any of that wrong, let me know. Here are some things I would like to know:

-Are we going to market the contest?

-When will it take place?

-Will there be prizes?

Thanks!

It seems strange to have a contest that nobody knows about. I realize the costume contest is relatively low on the club's list of priorities, but there's no need to half-*edited* something that could bring in new attendees. I am aware of the difficulties we've had getting the regular LAN fliers up lately, so what if a member volunteers to print out some really basic costume fliers or something and post them up around the UC. I don't have a lot of expierience designing fliers, but I could give it a go if nobody else is interested.

What about my idea of putting up some cheap, basic fliers?

If you want but I will really need your help putting up the regular flyers. Also nobody has even confirmed that this LAN IS the costume LAN...

As I said before, you would not have to put up a single costume flier. That will be the volunteer's job.

There has been complete silence about this contest since the last meeting. Every time I bring it up, nobody responds. We have two options: carefully plan and market the contest, or cancel it.

I had thought this thing more of a tester than anything, but I am glad you want to make it something more Ephraim, if you want to take the reigns on it just tell me what I can provide you with and I will do what I can.

If the first contest is going to be used as a test run, then I guess there's no reason for us to put up fliers. Word of mouth alone should bring in enough guinea pigs. Still, it would be good to plan out when it will go down, who will judge, and whether or not there will be a prize. If the contest is successful and we want to do it again, we should plan it out carefully and advertise it around campus well in advance.

Honestly, one of the reasons I care about this is because I spent $45 on an antique bell for my costume. If I find out the contest has been cancelled, I'll personally hunt down the son-of-a-*edited* responsible and kick his *edited* in.
