Well, we have 4 bots... so depending on if the steam server browser wants to show bots or not it should show 4. Sometimes mine shows 0 even though there are 4 bots on.. Quote

We might could install a mod to trick Steam but I'd be hesitant to screw with it. They've threatened to delist servers for crap like that before. Quote

Lemm Posted July 23, 2010 Author Report Posted July 23, 2010 Well that was a bit of a disappointment. We had a smaller turnout than last week. I still had fun, but the goal is to get people on the server and it didn't work. I think we had 8 or 9 at the most. The problem being someone would leave as soon as someone else joined. There were probably at least 15 people that connected last night but not at the same time. Question: Since CSS is using the same source as tf2, is it also using the algorithm for server rank in the browser? Does it check to see how long a player is connected and rank the server that way? If so we might need to get some people to idle the server for 45 min or more to help boost our rank in the server browser. Quote

I'm sorry but I just got mad and left since because steam was down I couldn't even get achievements by chiefing bots... Steam needs to get their **** together Quote

Major is fat, so he ended up messaging me when everyone left and it was all over at 8:30. Either way thanks to everyone who came out.. and Kip discovered that the server rates weren't updated since the update... um.. my bad. Hopefully we can get some moar peeps on next week. Quote
