Lemm Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 I'm kinda excited about this. I hope it's better than the Quantam of Solace Wii game.. or whichever one they've already come out with. Anyone else? I'ma make a special point to "get" this one. Quote
newrayz Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 I'm kind of interested to see how it plays also. Haven't watched much of the gameplay, but it looks like a decent throwback. Quote
MasterP Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 If the gameplay is decent, the online multiplayer will make this a must have for the wii. Quote
Lemm Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 Anyone have this yet? It comes with a gold classic controller if you buy it. Quote
MasterP Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 It won't use the wiimote if used with USBLoaderGX but Neogamma works fine (?) That's kinda backwards but w/e. I don't like that they used Craig as the James Bond and I'm not sure how well the wiimote movement works. It's lightyears better than the other Wii shooters but I still maintain that pointing at the sreen for a console shooter will never be as intuitive or fun as the developers intended. Quote
MasterP Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Follow up, ok this is one of the better developed Wii games to date. Tried using the classic controller and it was meh, better than wiimote but still nothing special so I turned on the gamecube wavebird I had plugged in and it instantly switched to input from it without me changing any settings. With a wavebird, gameplay is golden. Will play it online tonight and see how it goes. Quote
adam37 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 agreed...i'm using a wavebird now. I couldnt use anything else, its a little hard to aim and its not as fluid as i remember, but its not bad Quote
MasterP Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 its a little hard to aim and its not as fluid as i remember, but its not bad Agreed but it's no moreso than Goldeneye or Halo when I first picked them up. I figure in 10-12 hours of gameplay I'll have it fluid again. I imagine playing with the settings will help as well. Quote
Lemm Posted November 24, 2010 Author Report Posted November 24, 2010 I'ma have to get it... btw I use CFG USB Loader.. so hopefully I'll be able to use the wiimote, but I have both a classic controller and a wireless gamecube controller as well I can try. Quote
MasterP Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 If all else fails just use NeoGamma in USB mode. Quote
Lemm Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 I read somewhere that all you have to do is run Hermes 223 ios which is what I'm going to do when I get it... I have the original classic controller (rounded) is there any difference in this and the newer one other than the shape / layout? Which one do you have? Quote
MasterP Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 I used the original classic controller and didn't really like it. The sticks aren't just aren't fluid enough for FPS IMO. Many of the reviews I've read state that the classic controller pro is virtually identical to a PS3 dualshock, in layout, feel, and stick resistance. The CCP is slightly lighter than the PS3 DS. It can't match an XBOX controller in FPS but it seems to come *edited* near close. I'll probably pick one up for myself sometime in the next couple weeks (after exams) I'm running IOS 249v13 but Hermes223 uses 249v17 so you'd be fine. I really need to update to v17 but just haven't taken the time. Supposedly SM4.2 was supposed to stub out my IOS249 but I think it failed Quote
Lemm Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 Yeah I don't know.. I think I stopped updating after 249v14.. but I have that and hermes 222 and 223.. usually one of those will work. I think i will have to get the Classic Controller Pro as well.... I'm excited. Quote
MasterP Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 I skipped on v14 because it had some bugs. v13's only major flaw is you have to reset the wii between games. 223 (v17) should play everything without issue. Quote
Lemm Posted December 2, 2010 Author Report Posted December 2, 2010 Yeah I really don't remember which version I have.. but it's been working very well so I haven't had any reason to change it for a long time now. Quote
MasterP Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 By any chance have you tried metroid prime trilogy? I've really been itching to play that but it won't load on my current setup. Quote
