MasterP Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Server is down ATM. I'm installing our 512 user license. The club has been granted a license for 512 users. If anyone would like to use for it clans/guilds, WoW raids, etc shoot me a PM and I'll set you up a private channel and channel admin rights.
Dustin Posted March 14, 2011 Author Report Posted March 14, 2011 Mitch is changing some stuff to correct the issue from ts2 to ts3 so it will be back online later today.

Heero Shin Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 The club has been granted a license for 512 users. Holy Crap... O.o
MasterP Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Yeah the people who installed Beta1 got screwed due to database updates since then (now on Beta30) so I had to redo the entire server. It's back up.
MasterP Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 I'll stick to the awesomeness of Skype. We're currently using a codec which has 4x the quality of Skype but whatever floats your boat.
MasterP Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 6 or 7 years ago it did, today it's mostly used by the tech illiterate who don't know who the developers are or what it does to their computers while it's running. NINJA Clarification: Skype is made by the same developers as Kazaa and while it's running your PC joins their peer-to-peer network and is used as a node to forward and route calls and user location information. Skype actually owns very few servers as most of the network and call processing load is offloaded to the skype user network.
Lemm Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 my gf uses skype to talk to her parents.. that's the extent of the people i know who use skype but I haven't used anything like that since I was playing css
Geronimo Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 I don't know but wouldn't it be more constructive if we were all on the same page?
Dustin Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 Well, the ts3 server can support 512 clients...lol that is alottttttttttttttt of people. But yea, facebook, skype, ts3, ventrilo, and even aim works guys. As long as you have majority of those you are fine for communication. The ts3 server is here for people that want to chat, get info, learn to work things on the site, or even get in contact with execs/site managers. Personally I think it would be a good idea to have the TS3 server saved and ready because if you need some info on things like "how to upload pictures", "how to find help for fliers", or just information on the club, it is versy easy to hop on and talk to someone. There are posts on how to do about everything you need to know, but sometimes it is easy to just ask on ts3. The quality is great and it works for whatever we need it for. Also, I am sure there are some clan people on campus that have little groups for playing games and we can even create channels for that. Just hop on and ask.
