As to my knowledge it still hasn't been open to beta's, but this was about 3 hours ago and they may have opened up beta's by now. Orange Box is basically 5 games for $50 ($45 if you pre-order off of Steam). Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portals. I already have HL2 and Episode 1, but I can use the keys for HL2 and Episode 1 elsewhere, so 3 games I don't have for $50 is not a bad deal . Quote

Nickname Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 A) since you are buying from steam, no keys are directly involved; if the DVDs you have are not already registered on steam, you can go ahead and give those up I guess You don't get the games until the Orange Box is actually released (October 10th), at that time, there will be a little gift box next to the games you bought a multiple of, you can click the box and send the game to someone's e-mail address, where they can add the game to their steam account. So basically everything is based on steam accounts, not CDs/DVDs or keys or any of that nonsense. Quote
