Day of Defeat: Source Tourney

As you may know there is going to be a Day of Defeat: Source tourney at our upcoming LAN on September 22nd.

 

Here is the list of maps I'm considering. I wanted the custom maps attached but they are too big. So, PM me or search for them and you should be able to try them out.

The three custom maps may seem a bit small but that are balanced for both sides and I've experienced excellent games on each. Take a look at the maps and let me know what you think and what you would like to play at the LAN. Also, I'm open to suggestions for other maps. Since the Poll only allows for one vote per question just make a note of the maps you would really like to play in your post while voting for the one you like best up top.

 

On that note, I considered trying to slip a Detonation Map or two into the tourney though I wasnt sure how well that would go over. Basically the object of Detonation is that one or both sides of destroyable points on the map in the form of artillery, tanks, half tracks, etc and the other team has to blow them up. What do you all think of trying a Detonation map at this LAN?

I'll take a look through my detonation maps and see what looks good. I'd love to play the D-Day map though. Any suggestions otherwise?

Ok, since my poll is delightfully popular I've got plenty of input to decide the maps we're going to play!

 

It's probably going to boil down to some combination of

dod_crash

dod_avalanche

dod_colmar

 

Colmar is a detonation map with both sides having two objections to protect making it fairly even. If we arent going to go detonation then I'd like to see dod_flash slipped in there.

Flash is one of my favorites, but I couldnt remember if we needed 3 or 4 maps last time. And avalanche did get more votes.

 

There's still time to change it up though I suppose.
