Ok so can someone anyone, please tell me why this one special person can play music whenever he wants?? So in MOTD I guess it now says Lecarl can play music because certain admins or w/e said its ok.. call me crazy but why should he be allowed to play music whenever especially on an all talk map like for instance deagle? ... just find it very interesting.

personally...i agree with hannah...i mean in the alltalk maps...he shouldn't be allowed to if even 1 person takes offense to it.

 

if no one takes offense to it..feel free to blast the music...but if someone voices an opinion saying..i'd rather not have him playing music...kkthnx, he should get that right since it is in the MOTD

 

i know people are gonna reply to this and say...thats why we have personal mutes..but if you play cs:s enuff...you notice that personal mutes dont always work that well and can sometimes not work

I'd like to stick with how I dealt with him when I first ran into him. Warn him. If people complain: Mute him. I don't care what he's playing (though I'd certainly feel more justified if he was playing utter crap like the last time I was on.)

 

I really don't think he deserves any special treatment.

Who said he could? Brian? It is mic spamming and illegal, also extremely annoying. I mute anyone instantly that does it and if any admin gets *edited*ed out for muting a mic spammer due to music, etc then they can talk it over with myself. One person does not get special treatment over others and he is not allowed to do it. Period.

yeah, I said he could play no scrubs and mario music for a short while after the round was over, as bracket and his whining can attest I have never said he could play those whole way through. Admins more senior than I have told him he could play it all the way through and on other songs as well.

Meh.. I could copy and paste my last post on this subject but no one gave a crap then, so I doubt they do now. New approach,

 

'Senior' Admin has made a bad choice - 'Lesser' Admin and all the unimportant non-WCU players now have to put up with crap, deal with not knowing the right course of action to be taken at all times and have to second guess themselves over a really pathetic issue. And, when people start complaining louder than Lecarl can play music I'm sure then we'll see some proper action being taken - mutes and kicks for people angry at someone breaking the rules, I'm sure...

 

The rule of thumb I've gone by for a while now that might help a lot of people is, when Kuros is on the server, the rules are fluid, so go with the flow. Other than that, work with the admins on the server, everyone else is happy to explain whats going on. An Admin who has just logged in should check (where possible) with the admins already in place, simply as polite protocol and because it saves toes from being stepped on with the way things are currently.

 

In game voice is extremely hard to moderate in comparison to text and its always had a lot of freedom in regards to what can be said and other things people can get away with. It's gotta be worth pulling in the reins now rather than handing out excessive bans later once people push to whats looking like a much more lax boundary for whats acceptable - I don't think this impression is suppose to be there, but it is an effect of recent events.

agreed, we dont wont to *edited* other members of our community (and other admins more so) b/c some annoying kid likes to play chidy music. their is no reason if the kid wont to play music hes allowed to. but he cant hold down his mic and let it streem through, it should like *edited*. now i know this can be done tasefully, but its extremly rare,,, when someone complans (expecually an admin) then it need to stop... otherwise the community will fail epically

Yeah why should we have to inconvenience more the half the server and making them try and mute them on their player list when half the time it doesn't work anyway.

You can go in vent or w/e and play music with you friends all day if thats what you like.. or perhaps play it on your own computer.

 

All I know is I was in deagle, muted him cuz it was annoying and more than 10 seconds long and some song, and people were complaining.. then next thing I know Kuros unmuted him and he continued to play music.

i just wont to know why the *edited* steam desides to unmute someone that you deside you dont wont to lision to. who gives a *edited* if your both dead. did i not mute them for a reason...

why the fun maps...they usually have all talk enabled...that doesnt make sense...i'd rather have it on official maps when im dead...then, it doesnt affect the people playing as much as in the custom maps

i agree with hannah on this one even thou i know my opinion really dont matter. The music get old fast and if u want to hear music play it on your pc when u are playing cs. Just cause u want to hear the music doesnt mean everyone else does. If we did we would be playing music on our pc also.

We're playing a Game and yet we don't know how to have fun, we don't know how to let loose? Hmm, okay Kuros... Why wouldn't breaking the rules you lay out cause a problem? I thought thats why there were rules in the first place, to avoid problems? No? I thought these were the rules servers have so that we can all enjoy the game - not just those who want to cut loose regardless of who's fun they interrupt in the process.

You're kidding me right?? We don't know how to let loose and have fun... WE are all about having fun hence we're playing a game.. But when someone starts spamming and becomes annoying thats different joking blah blah thats fun... but being annoying is two differnet things.. I don't care if he plays no scrubs or mario for a hot second but when your playing some bs song music continuously and everyones alive and on all talk on its blah... like on regular maps and ppl are dead and not playing thats cool, whatever
