I seriously am gonna play this game for a week nonstop when it comes out. 5 bucks says the next char they come out with is paladinesque monk+barb are melee witch+wiz are casting it could be another caster OR another melee really. something tells me they may go with a ranged guy - maybe a Hunter or something that can shoot arrows or some *edited*. they have had at least one character that is ranged in each diablo so far I cant imagine what it could be really. How cool will it be to be able to purchase more than one merc? Iono. The Monk personally through me off, but in a good way. So I really don't know what they might come at us with. This game looks awesome, and is definitely something to look forward too. Quote

I think it will be a while still and it makes me a sad panda... I hope they do something more along the lines of the assassin from the expansion of D2. I like the whole traps idea they did + range. I think that some time of lancer would be nice too tho a.k.a amazon/spartan. I love pally auras tho. I wouldn't mind that type of char either. So...I have decided not to touch diablo until d3 comes out I AM SO *edited*ING EXCITED. P.S. Give me some good items and I will make the effort to join you for a few days sometime soon. Quote

They could give a hunter/rogue/ranger type player the old d2 assassins ability of traps. But that would make it very similar to wow's hunter. A spartan or hoplite type class would be pretty badass. Something they haven't done would be to introduce a fallen angel type or sanctified demon type. Tyreal style character. Only in my dreams tho lol Quote

There is no way the next char will not have ranged abilities. Look at the line up in d2 classic...sorc(spells), Barb(melee), Paladin(melee/auras/HAMMA TIME), necro(spells/summons/curses), amazon(range all the way) Then the new line up:wizard(spells), barb(melee), monk(melee/maybe auras??), witch doctor(spells and curses/maybe summons i dunno), then what? I think this last guys is gonna be the typical ranger...not to ruin your fun with the talks of the last horadric...but I highly doubt they will be that AMAZING. They should mix the ranger with some auras tho...that would be baller and amazingly overpowered. Quote
