Herbal put together a map rotation and he doesn't visit the forums (although he is registered), so he asked me to post this for him. The numbers in parentheses are the minutes for each map.

Instead of having dust2 repeated a bunch of throughout the rotation, herbal also used inferno, which is also a fairly popular map. He didn't group any of the less popular maps together and they're only 15 minutes long, so people wouldn't have to wait long to get to a better map. I like that he didn't put the two awp maps one after the other (aztec and militia); dodgeball's in between. It's nice to have that break. Scoutz is lowered to 25 minutes. He used 1337 assault instead of the original assault or upc (both too stacked). Prodigy and vertigo were also added in. I know we were talking about putting oilrig back. That would probably fall under the 15 min maps and I'm not sure where in this rotation would be best to put it (and he's out atm, so I don't know if he'd be able to answer that question).

 

What do you guys think? I like it.

Dust2 keeps the server populated. It's only in there twice (and we've done this on previous rotations with less maps, meaning we played dust2 more in a shorter period of time). Plus he threw in inferno so dust2 isn't repeating a bunch of times. Inferno is there twice as well. Dust is there only once.

 

Also, TDM is okay, but I dunno. It's not great. I was going to add that I wanted oilrig to be 20. :P

OHH. Dust. de_dust is only there once, and you said "hell no to that many de_dust", so I thought you meant there were too many dust maps (dust and d2). Haha, okay. Now I got it.

 

I like de_dust cuz I like a challenge (I join t), but I know a lot of people don't like it and stack ct. I guess it can be shortened or taken out. Maybe swap it with oilrig. :P

I like militia, but I don't see how it's better than survivor or tdm. I would play militia if it were back on the rotation, though.

That is a really good idea for a map rotation to be honest.

 

Like, its an insanely good idea.

 

If its not put into play for at least a few days to see how it goes, I will cry.

All I can say is what an awesome rotation. Nice Work

 

this is a good rotation and all but can we make scoutz be the last in the rotation and dust 2 the first so we can get to play aztec cbble cs office italy chateau because every week we play those maps 2 times at most and we play dust2 train piranesi inferno cpl tdm nuke survivor fy snow like 10 every week is there anyway u guys can switch scoutz to last

Obviously you'll never get the perfect rotation..the current rotation is good, but needs to be changed slightly. The rotation that has been suggested has all the maps that keep people in the server, plus some fun maps that change it up a bit. It's actually like the PERFECT rotation.

 

I can't get over it.

I was actually thinking that we should do what we did before and have d2 at the end of the rotation so that if the server crashes, we don't play d2 twice (anyone remember when that kept happening?). So far, though, I don't think we've had any problems with scoutz.

So... any thoughts on the proposed rotation? The council leaders are either not reading this thread or ignoring my post. :/

 

Are we waiting on loot or bitey...?
